You may have heard your children coming home recently talking about 'Google Classroom'
This is one way we can give pupils access to Curriculum activities and online resources that are tailored to suit specific year groups, sets, and even individuals.
We have been using Computing time to show the children how to log on from home. This can be done using any computer, tablet or phone.
We will of course still be sending 'paper homework' as we realise not everyone has access to a computer.
In case children forget the 'log on from home instructions'
1- Go to 'google' and type in 'rmunify'
2- Click the first option and log in. (This is the pupils 'log in' that they use every day to log into their own personal space on a school computer) The only difference is at school they would log in as:
at home they will need to add '@bellevuedudley'
3- There will now be a 'collection of clickable tiles' that the children see in school.
e.g. Purple Mash, TT Rockstars, Google Classroom.
If they do type an incorrect username or password bear in mind that they will be locked out for 20-30mins
4- Click on Google Classroom - the children will have 'joined' their classes, sets, using a code in school.
5- There will then be the class or set that the child has been enrolled into.
6 - There will be instructions and activities to complete and also a box to type a message to the member of staff if they are having a problem with the activity.
Hope this helps
Any problems, I will be happy to help.
