Family Support
We care about our children and our families. We know that life can be hard at times and everyone needs some support. We feel that it is vitally important for our families to have access to impartial support when you need it the most. The role of Family Support is important in providing that.
A message from our Family Support Worker
Hi, my name is Vikki Slater and I feel extremely privileged to Belle Vue's Family Support Worker. I have been part of the Belle Vue community for over 15 years.
We want our children to be happy, to be confident and have high self-esteem and to reach their full potential and one of the best ways to do this is to help our parents and carers to do the same.
In my role as the Family Support Worker I will be able to provide support to our parents and carers and help signpost our families to the right services so they can access the support they need.
Mental health & wellbeing
At Belle Vue Primary & Nursery School we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff. We know that everyone can experience life challenges anyone of us may need additional emotional support.
At our school we:
- help children understand their emotions and feel better
- help children feel comfortable to share concerns or worries
- help children socially to form and maintain relationships
- promote self-esteem and ensure children know that they count
- encourage children to be confident and to be themselves
- help children to develop emotional resilience and to manage setbacks
